NSK low-temperature bearings are primarily used in LNG cryogenic submersible pumps and other low-temperature equipment. Two main types of bearings are employed in these pumps: deep groove ball bearings and angular contact ball bearings. Operating in ultra-low-temperature environments, these bearings run without conventional lubricants and rely solely on the pumped medium for lubrication. Such harsh lubrication conditions demand bearings with exceptional durability and long service life.
The bearing rings are made from materials such as G95Cr18 and G102CrMo stainless steel, or advanced high-nitrogen stainless steels including Cronidur 30 (X30CrMoN15-2) and X.D15N.W (X40CrMoVN16-2). Rolling elements are manufactured from G95Cr18 and G102CrMo stainless steel, silicon nitride (Si₃N₄), or zirconia (ZrO₂). The cage is produced from non-metallic materials that provide self-lubrication, excellent wear resistance, and stable performance under low-temperature conditions.
